PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

Board a Metrorail train from any station and navigate to the Farragut West Station or Farragut North Station.

From Farragut West METRO Station (Orange or Blue Line):
Exit to 18th Street (18th and I Streets, N.W.). Proceed one block west on I Street to 19th Street, turn right onto 19th Street, walk two blocks north on 19th to L Street. The ASME office is in the building on the southeast (right) corner of 19th and L (1828 L Street, N.W.), on the 9th floor, Suite 906. The entrance to the building is on L Street, adjacent to the Simply Wireless and The Corner Bakery store entrances.

From Farragut North METRO Station (Red Line):
Exit to L Street (L Street and Connecticut Avenue, N.W.). Proceed two blocks west on L Street to 19th and L Streets.  The ASME office is in the building on the southeast (left) corner of 19th and L (1828 L Street, N.W.), on the 9th floor, Suite 906. The entrance to the building is on L Street, adjacent to the Simply Wireless and The Corner Bakery store entrances.

From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport:
Leaving Terminal B and C: Use either of two enclosed pedestrian bridges on the concourse level which connect directly to the station.  Leaving Terminal A: Exit the terminal to the streetside curb, and board any “Airport Shuttle” bus. At the stops for Parking Garages B and C (bus shelter #3 and bus shelter #5) you may access an enclosed bridge which connects to the Metrorail station.  Ride the Blue Line train marked "Largo Town Center" to Farragut West Metro Station.

Metro trains operate M-Th 5:00 a.m. to midnight; Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.; Saturday from 7:00 a. m. to 3:00 a.m.; and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to midnight.

To reach downtown hotels:
Hotels near the ASME office are accessible from either the Blue/Orange Line Farragut West and Foggy Bottom stops or the Red Line Farragut North and Dupont Circle stops. To transfer to the Blue/Orange Line or to the Red Line, go to the Metro Center stop.

 

REGIONAL GROUND TRANSPORTATION

When traveling between downtown D.C. and the Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) airport, it is sometime easier to take a MARC (a Maryland commuter train) or Amtrak train.  You can catch a shuttle from the airport to the BWI train station, and then take the a MARC or Amtrak train into Union Station in downtown D.C.  At Union Station, you can pick up the red metro line.  For more information re: ground transportation from BWI, please visit: http://www.bwiairport.com/ground_transportation/amtrak
