Overview of Turbulence Modeling for Industrial Applications

(Course # CDS 13)
By:  Ismail Celik

This course focuses on the main principles of turbulence modeling, which includes the physics of turbulence, closure models, and application to specific flow conditions. Since turbulent flow calculations usually involve computational fluid dynamics (CFD), special emphasis is given to this topic. Theoretical analysis and prediction of turbulence has been, and to this date still is, the fundamental problem of fluid dynamics, especially of CFD.
