ASME's Center for Engineering Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEEI)
ASME's Center for Engineering Entrepreneurship & Innovation (CEEI) seeks to promote engineering entrepreneurship and innovation as both a critical resource for technological competitiveness and as a solution for the shrinking science, engineering, and technology workforce pipeline.

ASME Launches Office of Breakthrough Innovation
Have an idea for a new product or service?  Visit ASME IdeaPort, the go to place at ASME to introduce your new concept.
 

ASME IShow
Inspiring students to be product innovators and entrepreneurs, ASME's Innovation Showcase (IShow) provides a platform for top collegiate student teams to compete for seed money to commercialize their idea.  While demonstrating their technological creativity and business acumen, winners must provide the commercial feasibility of their products to a judging panel and audience of successful innovators, industry experts, venture capitalists, and intellectual property specialists for the ultimate reward:  Industry recognition and access to over $20K in seed funds.  For more information, contact Patti Jo Snyder at snyderp@asme.org.

The IShow was founded in collaboration with the National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA) and the Idea to Product (I2P) competition at the University of Texas, Austin.

Industry Roundtable on Breakthrough Innovation
Industry Roundtable on Breakthrough Innovation 2009 ASME Annual Meeting session explored how to drive breakthrough innovation through case studies.

Engineer-To-Entrepreneur Session
Venture formation...licensing...bootstrapping...whatever your strategy, gain insight on developing the best path forward for leveraging your technology.  Designed for the science, engineering, and technology communities, the Engineer-To-Entrepreneur session offers technology entrepreneurship basics and provides a framework for moving ideas toward commercializing.  Topics to be discussed include idea validation, intellectual property issues & challenges, and finding the money.
