Old Guard Early Career Award

The Old Guard Early Career Award is aimed at furthering the goal of the Old Guard to help the young engineer bridge the gap between college and professional life. Its intent is to bring that individual closer to the activities of ASME by providing encouragement for graduating Student Members to upgrade to Member and actively become involved in the work of the Society.

This award was established by the Old Guard Committee in 1994.

$5000,  Prepaid Life Membership, and Plaque (First Place)

Prepaid Life Membership and Plaque (Second & Third)

Limitation(s): Student memeber who upgraded to member after graduation and is within 4-6 years after receiving a baccalaureate degree
