(Maximum Baseline Points = 200) Points = 2 * (Meeting Factor) * (Attendance Factor)
Points will be awarded for attendance at planned meetings that present information useful to engineering students as they prepare for a professional career and community citizenship, or that are used to plan events. Students are encouraged to attend oral and video presentations that are arranged by ASME or other individuals and groups. Lectures in a regular or short course should not be interpreted as presentations under this category; rather periodic or discrete seminars are the intent. Gatherings of students to work on academic homework or projects are not meetings. Gatherings to work on projects, such as the ASME Student Design Contest or SAE Mini Baja, may be counted twice per year maximum, but additional points may be earned under Categories 8 and 9. Meetings should be reported in the Monthly Report (Supplement 1), and on Supplement 2 (duplicate if necessary) for the Final Report.

For calculating percentage (%) of members attending, use the student section roster of membership closest to the date of the event. The student section advisor receives a monthly roster of membership throughout the school year. Use either percentage or total number of attendees to maximize Attendance Factor |
