The FIRST Robotics Competition is an exciting, multinational competition that teams professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way.

In 1998, ASME and the Boy Scouts of America signed an Agreement of Affililiation, whereby both organizations will work together to promote technological literacy.

The goal: to help improve the math, science & technology literacy of girls and to raise their awareness of the technology related career paths available to them.

Through membership in JETS, ASME promotes JETS' national, team-oriented competitions and activities that introduce high school students to engineering.
