Instructor
Robert Kauer (Dipl. Ing., Dr. Ing.) has been working in the field of pressure vessel and piping technology for over 28 years, starting as an R&D engineer at the Institute of PVP Design, Experimental Stress Analysis and Plant Engineering in Munich. He has handled various national and international projects related to design, structural reliability, Fitness for Service, and inspection programme development for nuclear and non-nuclear applications in pressure vessel and piping technlogy. He holds an US National Board Commission as ASME Authorized Inspector and is member of various national and European committees.  Currently he is head of the Plant Optimisation Department at TÜV SÜD Industry Service GmbH. He received his engineering degree from the Technical University of Munich.
