ASME is not responsible for the purchase of non-refundable airline tickets or the cancellation/change fees associated with canceling a flight.  ASME encourages attendees to call and confirm whether a specific course is running before purchasing airline tickets. ASME retains the right to cancel a course until 3 weeks prior to the scheduled presentation date.

Hotel information
Some ASME courses may be held at a venue where special room rates have been negotiated. Specific information will be listed in the ASME Product Catalog or may be obtained by calling an ASME registration specialist when registering for a course.  To ensure accessibility to discounted rates, mention ASME when making your reservations with a designated hotel.  Click here for Venues & Hotels.

Did you get your confirmation letter?
ASME confirms every course registration in writing.  If you have not received a confirmation letter after registering for an ASME Public Course, contact Janice Lucas at 212-591-7399 or lucasj@asme.org.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
As a member of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), ASME is certified to award CEUs and PDHs to attendees participating in ASME training. Accredited CEUs meet the requirements for professional licensure, although specific requirements vary per state.  ASME encourages you to check with your state licensing board for specific requirements.  Upon completion of a course, you will receive notification indicating the number of CEUs/PDHs earned.  One training of day is equal to 7.5 hours, or 0.75 CEUs. For example: a 3-day course encompasses 22.5 hours of instruction and awards 2.25 CEUs to attendees.  You must be present for the entire length of a course to earn CEUs through ASME. CEUs earned may also be applied toward ASME Certificate Programs.  For more information, contact Janice Lucas at 212-591-7399 or lucasj@asme.org.

Can't make your scheduled course?
If you are unable to attend your registered course, simply send a substitute or opt to transfer to another course.  Contact 800-843-2763 to transfer and be aware that transfers are subject to space allocation.  There is no additional charge for transferring to a different course. However, cancellation on or after the first day of a course is subject to the full course fee. Please see our refund policy below for more details.

ASME will provide a complete refund if cancellation occurs up to 21 business days prior to the start of the course.  Cancellations made less than 21 business days prior to the start of a course are subject to a $200 administrative charge.
