Opportunities:

• Ben C. Sparks Medal - Nominate someone for the ASME Ben C. Sparks Medal, which  is presented annually to a mechanical engineer for recognition of eminent service to mechanical engineering technology education. Nominations are due by January 31.
• Essential Teaching Seminars - Send your faculty to the intensive ASME Essential Teaching Seminars.  The seminars have helped over 400 faculty hone their teaching skills in a collegial, peer-critique environment, and learn from the latest best practices in teaching and learning. The collaborative "learn by doing" format ensures that participants will make substantive gains by the end of the seminar.
• Call For ABET Evaluators - We are currently looking for new program evaluators.  If you are interested in helping to assure the quality and vitality of Mechanical Engineering Technology degree programs or know a good candidate, please consider applying or nominating someone.  Minorities are especially encouraged to apply.
