To enter the US for the ASME 2006 Spring Student Conference, you may need to apply for a tourist visa.  For more information on obtaining a visa,  please visit the website of the US Embassy nearest you.

Your embassy may require a letter of invitation from ASME to verify your reason for travel to the US.  An invitation letter can be obtained by following the instructions listed below.

1. Visit the webpage of the ASME 2006 Spring Student Conference you wish to attend. Student Conference webpages can be found at: http://staging.asme.org/Communities/Students/2006_Spring_Student_2.cfm.
   
2. Look for "Obtaining A Visa" or "Letter of Invitation for Visa" information on the Student Conference webpage.
   
3. Complete the online form.

Invitation letters will be sent to you shortly after you've completed the online form.
