On the Day of the Interview
- Test all components of equipment.
- Check room for quietness and comfort (temperature, etc.).
- Check for possible interruptions (telephone, visitors).
- Make sure the seating arrangement and mike position are comfortable.
- Plan break at 30 or 45 minutes depending on tape length.
- Label each tape immediately upon completion showing name of interviewee, interviewer, and date.
- Be sure the release form is signed and dated.
After the Interview
Send completed tapes, research material, and consent form to the ASME History and Heritage, c/o ASME Public Information, Three Park Avenue, New York, NY 10016-5990. Please confirm receipt.
Thank the recipient, provide copies of the tapes and transcripts, if possible. |
