Main, Charles Thomas
(1856-1943), U.S. mechanical engineer and ASME's 37th president (1918-19), invented a receiver-pressure regulator for compound steam engines (1887) and formed successful consulting firm to design steam and water power plants. He was born Feb. 16, 1856, Marblehead, Massachusetts, and died March 6, 1943.
