Hutton, Frederick Remsen
(1853-1918), U.S. mechanical engineer and ASME's 26th president (1907-08), mechanical engineering department head at Columbia University, New York City, developed mechanical engineering laboratories and was a prolific author, primarily on steam power plants and heat engines. He authored a 1915 history of ASME. He was born May 28, 1853, New York City, and died May 14, 1918, New York City.
