This Subsection contains requirements for the material, design, fabrication, examination, inspection, testing and overpressure protection of metal containment vessels which are intended to conform to the requirements for Class MNC construction.

The rules of Subsection NE cover the requirements for assuring the structural integrity of the metal containment vessel.
